Military Faculty

Head: Colonel Alexander Dmitriuk

Speciality: "Multichannel telecommunication systems".
Specialization: "Special telecommunication systems".
Qualification: "Telecommunication engineer".

By the order of Minister of Defence the graduate gets the military rank "lieutenant".

The mission of Military Faculty graduates is the military service as officers on the contract base in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, and in other national security, defence and law enforcement agencies.

The graduate is intended for military service in military units and divisions in primary posts - the communication platoon commander and an equivalent post, the communication battalion chief; with subsequent use without additional training in other posts - the communication company commander, the chief of the communication centre; after additional training in posts of - the chief of staff, the chief of the communications centre, the chief of a field communications centre, the commander of a signal battalion of the mechanized brigade.

Apart from study at the University cadets pass army training in military units and divisions of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus where they learn the main principles of organization and conducting of the integrated all-arms battle, the military use of the communication devices adopted by the Belarusian Armed Forces.

Specialized classrooms of the Military Faculty are equipped with arms and technical communication equipment. The Military Faculty has at its disposal digital technical communication equipment, a computer class, library with book collection and electronic fund of the technical and special literature, electronic learning complex, a set of electronic testing and verifying programs in the various disciplines facilitating individual study process.

Our cadets have at their disposal a corporate computer university network, an informational and educational Web-portal, electronic library, access to the Internet network.

Cadets at the Military Faculty are trained only on a budgetary basis, are on full state maintenance (living, nutrition, uniform, payment of a monetary allowance).

Cadets of the 1-st and 2-nd year of study live in kasernes. Cadets of the 3-rd, 4-th, and 5-th year of study live in a students hostel. Twice a year (in winter and in summer) they have a furlough from 14 to 30 day accordingly.

Physical education takes an important place in the academic training of the would-be officers. The University has a good Sport Complex. There are sports sections, a swimming pool. During hours of the moral support activities cadets play football, volleyball, basketball and table tennis.

Cadets actively participate in sport meetings within the University and games between military faculties of the educational institutions and repeatedly take the top-places in standard weapon shooting, military triathlon, volleyball, weightlifting, track and field running events. This shows the high level of physical preparation and sports skill of cadets.

Healthy lifestyle promotion and development of physical training and sports at the Military Faculty are the major conditions of preservation and strengthening of health of a military men.
